Courier service hit by cyber attack potentially exposing personal data
The courier company announced that its inquiry service was targeted by a cyber attack and that personal data of customers might have been leaked. The company stopped some web services as a result. According to the firm, on September 30, 2026, it confirmed unauthorized access to its inquiry service by a third party. Investigation revealed that personal information could have been leaked. The potentially leaked data includes sender and recipient names or company names, contact names, addresses, phone numbers, and related details for parcels handled by the company, covering approximately 100 days of accumulated data prior to September 30. Additional data may include names or company names, contact names, addresses, phone numbers of customers under freight contracts, as well as names, contact names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, member IDs of customers registered on the company's web service "Smart Club".
The exact number of affected records is under investigation. To prevent further damage, the company suspended nine web services, including internet cargo inquiry and flight parcel acceptance, while parcel pickup and delivery continue as usual.
The company also took emergency measures to contain the breach.
