Synology launches FC600 Fisheye camera with AI capabilities
Synology has launched the FC600, a Fisheye surveillance camera designed for indoor installation. The device features a compact design with a 6MP resolution and offers a 360-degree panoramic view. It incorporates AI Analytics that processes data on the camera itself, supporting both cloud and on-premises usage.
The FC600 records HDR video at a resolution of 2560 × 2560 at 30 FPS, providing all-around coverage. It includes high-powered IR LEDs that enable night vision up to 10 meters. The camera is equipped with an internal dewarping system, allowing for various display modes such as quad view (4R) and dual 180° view (2P), making it capable of monitoring large areas that would typically require multiple cameras.
Designed for installation on ceilings and walls, the FC600 is suitable for various environments including offices, retail stores, schools, and hospitals. Key features of the FC600 include AI capabilities such as People Detection, Intrusion Detection focusing on human targets, and Audio Detection. These functionalities help enhance response times to incidents while reducing the need for constant human monitoring. Additionally, it supports People Counting and generates reports when used with Synology Surveillance Station.
The camera can be utilized with the on-premises Surveillance Station or the cloud platform Surveillance365, depending on organizational needs. It is compatible with ONVIF for connection to NVRs and VMS from other manufacturers within existing systems. Video is transmitted securely via HTTPS and SRTP, with privacy masking and encrypted recording files, adhering to NDAA standards.
The FC600 is now available through Synology partners and distributors.
