NodeJS has announced that it will release a critical security patch on November 11. The patch addresses a vulnerability rated as critical, the highest level for the project. Supported versions including 22, 24, and 26 will receive the patch simultaneously. Older versions that are no longer supported are also affected by this vulnerability.

NodeJS recommends users upgrade to a supported version, or alternatively, purchase support from partners in the OpenJS Foundation Ecosystem Sustainability Program. These partners include HeroDevs, NodeSource, and TuxCare.

In October, NodeJS also released a critical security patch without prior announcement, indicating that this vulnerability may be easily exploitable, prompting an urgent warning for users to patch their systems.
