SKT to Showcase Sustainable AI Initiatives at Festival

SKT will participate in the ‘3rd Korea Social Value Festival’ held on September 21-22 at COEX in Seoul, showcasing various examples of its sustainable management vision ‘Do The Good AI’.

‘Do The Good AI’ aims to enhance technological competitiveness through artificial intelligence, ensure the reliability and safety of AI, and contribute positively to the world through sustainable management.

SKT plans to set up a 72 square meter exhibition space under the theme ‘A Sustainable Future Together Through Better Connections’. The company will demonstrate how AI technology and services can make customers’ daily lives safer and more convenient while addressing social and environmental issues.

Key exhibition items include the ‘A. Dot Phone Family Care’ which helps prevent voice phishing, the AI financial accident detection service ‘FAME’, the ‘AI Care Call’ for checking on vulnerable groups, and ‘CareVia’, which uses Vision AI to support the daily lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Additionally, SKT will introduce programs such as the ‘Fly AI Challenger’ where young AI talents tackle social issues and the ‘Happy AI Coding School and Challenge’ aimed at enhancing future generations' AI capabilities. The exhibition will also feature services from innovative companies participating in SKT's startup incubation program.

The exhibition will reflect the expansion of various AI services connecting people, technology, and society into sustainable social value, utilizing eco-friendly materials like recycled plastics in booth construction.

On the first day of the event, a sketch concert will take place at 4 PM, featuring startups from SKT's ESG startup incubation program sharing insights on social issues and solutions. Experts will discuss challenges such as digital inclusion, climate disaster response, and digital crime prevention, while participating startups will present their ongoing efforts to address these issues through technology and services.

Um Jong-hwan from SKT's sustainable management office stated, “We plan to show how AI can better connect people and society, addressing various challenges faced by our community.” He emphasized that SKT aims to contribute to creating a sustainable future by connecting its technology and capabilities with innovative ideas from various partners.
