SearchInform Opens Jakarta Office to Address Internal Data Leak Risks in Indonesia

International information security provider SearchInform has opened a new operational office in Jakarta to strengthen data protection efforts in Indonesia. The company stated that cyber threats are no longer limited to external attacks, as internal risks are also rising due to increasingly complex data processing across local corporations. Founder Lev Matveev noted that Indonesia's rapidly growing digital economy has made company data more valuable and simultaneously more vulnerable to leaks, misuse, and other internal risks. He added that the increasing use of AI-based devices also introduces new threats. SearchInform emphasized its commitment to supporting partners and customers through every stage, from consultation and testing to implementation and daily use.

The Jakarta office opening was attended by over 80 cybersecurity professionals, system integrators, managed security service providers, and major corporate clients including NEC, Berca, Abhinawa, Visionet, and Xquisite. The company highlighted the need for organizations to monitor access and data traffic within their networks to detect anomalies in real time before incidents occur. Country Director Mairi Herman stated that the firm's approach focuses on mitigating internal risks. SearchInform also introduced its advanced security portfolio, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Data-Centric Audit and Protection (DCAP), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and Next-Gen DLP integrated with an AI Assistant. The expansion aligns with Indonesia's implementation of the Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP), which requires all business entities to ensure visibility and strict control over consumer data processing.

Strategic local partner PT Nalela Karya Persada supported the initiative, with Business Development Manager Christian Perdana emphasizing the importance of tracking how personal data is accessed, shared, and stored. The Jakarta office is part of SearchInform's broader Southeast Asian expansion, following recent launches in Ho Chi Minh City and Kuala Lumpur. The company plans to expand cybersecurity education in Indonesia through industry forums, practitioner training programs, and ongoing technical support for local partners.
