NVIDIA to Invest $2 Billion in European AI Startups
NVIDIA has announced plans to significantly expand its investments in the European AI ecosystem. The company will acquire stakes in four French startups: Doctolib, Genesis AI, Entalpic, and Pigment, to strengthen collaboration within the European market.
During a visit to Europe, Jensen Huang, NVIDIA's CEO, disclosed that the company aims to invest a total of 2 billion USD in European mergers and acquisitions, including a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. This investment commitment adds to the 8 billion USD NVIDIA invested in Europe over the past year.
NVIDIA's acquisition of Doctolib, a leading French startup that supports administrative tasks for healthcare professionals and helps European patients book appointments, has been confirmed.
Genesis AI focuses on robotics technology, and Huang has previously predicted that physical AI in humanoid robot form will be the next major market for the company. Additionally, Pigment, which develops AI-based business software, and Entalpic, which utilizes AI in chemical and material research, are also part of the investment portfolio.
