Nvidia and Meta announced that they are expanding their collaboration on AI models and AI agents. At the same time, Nvidia will invest 3 billion dollars in a stock issuance from Meta, which totals 97.5 billion dollars. The funds will be used by Meta for investments in AI infrastructure. The tech giants will deepen their collaboration on Meta's AI model family Muse. The goal is to improve performance during both training and use of models, while also reducing costs.

The companies are also exploring the possibility of collaborating on Nvidia's security technology OpenShell and the monitoring tool Sentry, for safer AI agents whose behaviors can be monitored. Meta also plans to increase the use of Nvidia's upcoming infrastructure Vera Rubin and Vera processors.

"AI agents represent a new computing paradigm, software that understands our goals, reasons, uses tools, and performs work for us," said Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang in a press release. "We look forward to continuing to collaborate with Nvidia to offer the best personal agents and groundbreaking models to billions of people," said Meta's CEO Mark Zuckerberg in the same release.
