Hurotics secures 25 billion KRW Series A funding
Hurotics, a wearable robot company, has secured a Series A investment of 25 billion KRW. The investment, announced on October 15, was led by Atinum Investment, with participation from existing major investors and strategic investors in healthcare, retail, and IT sectors, including Daewoong, Naver, and Lotte, as well as Mirae Asset Venture Investment. With this funding, Hurotics has surpassed a total investment of 33.5 billion KRW. Founded in July 2022 by a professor from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Chung-Ang University, Hurotics specializes in exoskeleton robots based on cable and tendon drive technology.
The company's main product, the H-Medi medical rehabilitation robot, has been exported to the University of Illinois Chicago, showcasing its global technological competitiveness. Hurotics plans to use the funds for overseas certification and distribution network expansion for H-Medi and to develop and mass-produce the daily walking assistance robot H-Care. In the long term, the company aims to establish a wearable physical AI data platform by analyzing walking data and creating personalized algorithms and risk prediction services for muscle loss and falls.
