BANDAI NAMCO confirmed a security breach affecting its "THE GUNDAM BASE MEMBERS" system, impacting approximately 340,000 users. The company received a report on October 26 from its contracted network service provider Ymir Link, indicating unauthorized access to the "BANDAI NAMCO ID" email service, with evidence suggesting information was compromised. Following an investigation, BANDAI NAMCO confirmed that all member information from the "THE GUNDAM BASE MEMBERS" system was leaked.

The leaked data includes 346,247 email addresses registered in the member system. However, personal details such as names, addresses, purchase records, login passwords, and credit card information were not part of the data breach.

In response to the incident, BANDAI NAMCO has halted the unauthorized email sending service. Users can still access their BANDAI NAMCO ID and "THE GUNDAM BASE MEMBERS" accounts normally. The company stated that it will contact affected members individually.

Officials warned that affected users’ email addresses may be exploited by malicious actors, leading to phishing emails and other spam messages. Users are advised to remain vigilant and handle unknown emails and links with caution.
