Ayesa Digital acquires Kuik Digital Solutions to expand AI and software capabilities
Ayesa Digital has completed the acquisition of Kuik Digital Solutions, a Basque company described as AI-first, to enhance its capabilities in software engineering, digital transformation, and applied artificial intelligence. The transaction allows Ayesa Digital to integrate a senior team with practical experience in software and applied AI, as well as AI-assisted development methodologies, into its operations. This move is intended to accelerate the buyer's AI-first strategy and increase its presence in the Basque industrial market. Kuik Digital Solutions brings more than 15 years of experience to the combined entity. The company is headquartered in Errenteria, Gipuzkoa, and employs more than 70 professionals in a multidisciplinary team. Its business volume is approximately 4.5 million euros, a figure reached after several years of strong growth.
The acquired firm offers custom software development, artificial intelligence, DevOps, and technological support for process transformation. Its client base includes organizations such as MasOrange, CAF, Danobat, Sarralle, Indar, Biele, Dibal, Algeposa, and Railsider. These projects span sectors including telecommunications, industry, mobility, energy, logistics, and services. Manuel Baraza, CEO of Ayesa Digital, stated that Kuik provides agility, client proximity, specialized talent, and experience in real use cases. He noted that Ayesa Digital offers scale, access to large accounts, contractual capacity, and capabilities in cloud, data, cybersecurity, compliance, governance, and industrialization. Baraza emphasized that the operation follows a logic of speed and specialization rather than scale. Felix Vela, CEO of Kuik, said the acquisition opens a new growth phase.
He explained that it allows the company to bring its software and AI capabilities to larger projects, access major accounts, and complement its proposal with new capabilities. Both companies aim to scale Kuik's capabilities and turn them into an accelerator for Ayesa Digital's AI-first strategy. The operation seeks to jointly develop new AI solutions for clients, bring Kuik's specialization to large accounts, incorporate AI-assisted software development and maintenance practices, and accelerate AI adoption within Ayesa Digital. The integration is planned to be progressive to protect talent, client relationships, and Kuik's roots in the Basque technological and industrial ecosystem.
