谷歌DeepMind的研究人员展示了一项新实验，其中四个Gemini 4人工智能智能体在随机生成的《我的世界》世界中独立行动。实验的目标是生存、收集资源并击败游戏最终头目末影龙。智能体没有预设角色，使用开源工具Mineflayer控制角色，并通过游戏聊天和共享内存进行通信。

在实验过程中，智能体开始自行分配任务，互相警告危险，分享坐标，并从已阵亡的队友处获取装备。第五个智能体同时监控整个过程，以检查规则遵守情况并记录结果。经过27小时14分钟，末影龙被击败。在此期间，智能体在游戏中死亡605次，互相发送了229条消息，并编写和运行了2783个程序。

智能体消耗了13.5亿输入令牌，估计成本在810至1620美元之间。
