# Samsung voegt beveiligingschips toe aan smartphones

Samsung bereidt zich voor om een nieuwe beveiligingsmaatregel in te voeren voor smartphonebatterijen. Het technologiebedrijf, gevestigd in Zuid-Korea, is van plan om speciale beveiligingschips toe te voegen aan batterijen om te verifiëren of de gebruikte batterij origineel is. Met deze stap wil Samsung ernstige veiligheidsrisico's, zoals brand of explosie door niet-originele batterijen, voorkomen. De chips zullen niet alleen worden toegevoegd aan vlaggenschipapparaten, maar ook aan modellen in lagere segmenten, waaronder de Galaxy A-serie.
