# Swedish AI company raises nearly one billion

Swedish Tandem Health has recently gained significant attention in the medical technology sector. Tandem provides a type of copilot for healthcare personnel that assists with record-keeping. It has now been confirmed that Tandem Health has raised 100 million dollars in its latest funding round, bringing its total investment to 160 million dollars from investors.

The company was founded to provide an alternative, stating that Europe should set the standard for how AI is integrated into healthcare rather than adopting someone else's model. This funding allows them to safely usher healthcare into the AI era by working alongside patients, healthcare personnel, systems, and nations.

One of the new investors is Scaleup Europe Fund, a prestigious fund managed by EQT, joining previous backers such as Kinnevik, Northzone, Amino Collective, and Visionaries.
