# SpaceX secures record $40 billion GPU financing agreement

SpaceX announced today that it has finalized a financing agreement with alternative asset management firm Apollo. This agreement involves a binding commitment to sign a main financing lease agreement worth approximately $40 billion for GPUs and related equipment, expected to be signed within 2026.

This financing deal marks the largest GPU financing agreement to date, aimed at providing next-generation NVIDIA Vera Rubin chips for SpaceX's ground computing infrastructure. The leasing plan is anticipated to commence in the first half of 2027 after the delivery of GPUs and related equipment.

SpaceX is focused on deploying the largest computing infrastructure globally. With the increasing demand for computing power, the return on investment for system integration infrastructure has been reduced to less than one year. The leasing agreement not only diversifies funding sources but also addresses a significant portion of the capital needed to achieve growth plans. The company aims to rapidly increase computing capabilities to support Grok services for enterprises and consumers, as well as to assist existing and future cloud service clients.
