# Google addresses 21 vulnerabilities in Chrome

On October 29, 2026, Google released a security update for the web browser Chrome. The update addresses a vulnerability rated as Critical in severity.

Versions released include Chrome 156.0.8078.80 and 156.0.8078.79 for Windows and macOS, respectively, as well as 156.0.8078.79 for Linux. The rollout is expected to occur over the next few days to weeks.

Among the 21 vulnerabilities fixed, CVE-2026-76024 is classified as Critical. This vulnerability involves memory corruption identified in MediaStream and was reported by external researchers on October 21.

Nineteen vulnerabilities were rated as High, which includes CVE-2026-76025 and CVE-2026-76028 related to FileSystem, as well as vulnerabilities in Input, Frames, and Blink components that involve use after free issues.

Additionally, the update resolves an input validation issue in the V8 scripting engine identified as CVE-2026-119262, and an integer overflow vulnerability in Editing identified as CVE-2026-119268.
