# Cyberattack on Sushi Chain Affects Data Security

Ride On Express Holdings, which operates the sushi delivery chain, has revealed that its server was subjected to a cyberattack. The company is taking measures as there is a possibility that personal information has been leaked.

According to the company, the server that stored registration information for its official websites and apps, including those for its brands, was attacked. Following the detection of a breach by a third party on October 5, 2026, investigations into the attack route and extent of damage were initiated. On October 7, a system failure occurred on some servers, prompting a report of a ransomware attack from the server's operating company, which led to the suspension of services. The company is conducting an investigation into the attack route and potential damage.

The operating company of the affected server reported that retrieving or restoring the stored data is difficult. As of October 13, no evidence of leaked personal information has been confirmed; however, it is indicated that there is a possibility that approximately 6.5 million personal information records may have been compromised, prompting the company to inform customers.

The compromised data may include names, addresses, phone numbers, gender, date of birth, email addresses, hashed password values, order history, and delivery point member IDs.
