# Cisco reveals multiple vulnerabilities in firewall products

Cisco Systems has disclosed several vulnerabilities within its firewall product series, Cisco Secure Firewall, and has released security updates. Some of these vulnerabilities have been confirmed to be exploited.

The company published a security advisory on September 16, 2026. It addressed multiple vulnerabilities in the Cisco Secure Firewall Adaptive Security Appliance, Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense, and Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center.

The advisory covers a total of 14 issues, addressing 29 vulnerabilities based on the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures system. Among these, there are five advisories rated as Critical, accounting for 18 vulnerabilities.

The vulnerabilities include issues that allow arbitrary commands to be executed remotely without authentication, as well as those that could lead to the acquisition of administrative privileges. Additionally, problems related to denial of service, leakage of confidential information, and bypassing authentication have been resolved.

The company has grouped issues belonging to the same vulnerability class and assigned a single CVE number in some cases. The advisory concerning this hardening release includes eight CVE numbers. According to the Common Vulnerability Scoring System version 3.1, two vulnerabilities have a base score of 9.9, and the scores range up to 7.5.
