# Anthropic Maintains November IPO Plans Amid Sector Delays

Anthropic intends to proceed with its initial public offering in November, a decision that stands in contrast to other artificial intelligence companies that have postponed or suspended their own market debuts. This strategic move places the developer of the Claude models at the center of investor attention and frames the offering as a critical test of market appetite for the sector.

According to reports published by Reuters on Thursday, the company is considering releasing its prospectus by the end of October and beginning the presentation of shares to potential investors during the week of November 9. Individuals familiar with the matter noted that this schedule remains subject to change. The operation could value Anthropic at up to 1.5 trillion US dollars, a figure that reflects investor interest in participating in the growth of artificial intelligence while highlighting the high expectations placed on a company that must still demonstrate how it will sustain its expansion in a more restrictive financial environment.

While Anthropic advances its preparations, companies operating in the infrastructure required to develop and operate AI systems are reviewing their plans for entering the stock market. The data center operator Switch and the AI infrastructure provider Nscale have delayed their IPOs to a later date this year. In the case of Nscale, part of the delay is related to the need to respond to questions from the team at the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.

Other firms have also adjusted their timelines. SB Energy, which is supported by SoftBank, has also postponed its listing. Meanwhile, AirTrunk REIT, backed by Blackstone, and Firmus, which counts on the support of Nvidia, have withdrawn or suspended their offerings. This movement occurs amid rising interest rates and market volatility, factors that make it difficult to obtain attractive valuations for new stock offerings. The pressure has also affected AI infrastructure companies such as CoreWeave, whose shares and bonds suffered a strong wave of selling.

The offering by Anthropic gains additional importance because other companies may rely on the market's reception to define the timing of their own debuts. The recent capital opening of Oura reportedly had limited participation from institutional investors with long-term strategies, raising doubts about the depth of demand for shares of new technology companies. In this context, the performance of the Anthropic offering may help indicate how far investors are willing to go to accept high valuations for AI-linked companies, even in the face of high interest rates and increased pressure on sector costs. The interest in the company coexists with a more selective environment, where the challenge is to transform expectations into an offering capable of attracting capital without ignoring the uncertainties that have already led other AI companies to revise their plans.
