# Mozilla Foundation veröffentlicht „Firefox 158“ und behebt 77 Sicherheitsanfälligkeiten

Die Mozilla Foundation hat am 13. Oktober 2026 die neueste Version des Webbrowsers „Firefox 158“ veröffentlicht. Gleichzeitig wird ein Sicherheitsupdate für die erweiterte Unterstützungsversion bereitgestellt.

In der neuen Version „Firefox 158“ wurden insgesamt 77 Sicherheitsanfälligkeiten behoben, die auf der CVE-Basis basieren. Die Wichtigkeit dieser Anfälligkeiten wird als „hoch“ eingestuft.

Bei der Analyse der Schweregrade sind keine als „kritisch“ eingestuften Anfälligkeiten vorhanden. Es gibt 30 Anfälligkeiten mit der zweithöchsten Einstufung „hoch“, 33 Anfälligkeiten mit der Einstufung „moderat“ und 14 Anfälligkeiten mit der Einstufung „gering“.

Unter den als „hoch“ eingestuften Anfälligkeiten wurde „CVE-2026-109705“ erkannt, die aufgrund von Mängeln bei der Verarbeitung von Grenzbedingungen und der Verwendung von freigegebenem Speicher zu einer Umgehung des Sandboxes und zur Beeinträchtigung der Seitenisolierung führen kann.

Ebenso wurde „CVE-2026-109707“ festgestellt, das durch die Verwendung von freigegebenem Speicher zu einem Ausbruch aus dem Sandbox führen kann, sowie „CVE-2026-109708“, das ebenfalls Mängel bei der Verarbeitung von Grenzbedingungen aufweist und eine Umgehung des Sandboxes ermöglicht.
